Q: Will eating
microwaved foods have any effect on humans after
several years?
A: Cooking foods in
a microwave oven does not alter them other than to
heat them. There are no known effects on humans
from microwaved food as opposed to foods heated by
other means.

Q: I am a 49 year
old female and weight around 100Kgs. I have been
recently experiencing some tingling and numbness
in my upper thigh when I walk. What could be
causing this?
A: The tingling in
your upper thigh is coming from your lumbar sacral
spine (lower back). It is likely that you have
some degeneration there particularly at the L1-L2
level. Wear and tear is common in people of your
age, but the more your spine has to carry the
greater the likelihood of symptoms. If you can
loose some weight then the tingling should
improve. However, you are always best to book an
appointment with your doctor to confirm this.

Q: I eat
healthy raw foods and exercise regularly, but
after 2 children, no matter how hard I try, I
cannot seem to lose the love handles or my lower
stomach ponch. I have also noticed that as I am
getting older I seem to have fat deposits on my
knees and am losing the nice shape I used to have
with my legs. Is there a way to rid myself of this
problem without surgery such as lipoplasty?
A: YES! Lipodissolve is an effective
alternative to 're-shape' your body. For more
information on this service that is now offered
within our office, please refer to our
Lipodissolve page here on our website.

Q: What is BOTOX®?
A: BOTOX® is
indicated for the treatment of cervical dystonia
in adults to decrease the severity of abnormal
head position and neck pain associated with
cervical dystonia. BOTOX® is indicated for the
treatment of strabismus and blepharospasm
associated with dystonia, including benign
essential blepharospasm or VII nerve disorders in
patients 12 years of age and above.
 Q: How long will a BOTOX® treatment
last?
A: BOTOX®
offers sustained relief, dose after dose. The
relief you'll feel from 1 treatment of BOTOX® will
normally last for up to 3 months. Treatments can
be continued as long as your condition responds to
BOTOX®, and you do not have any serious allergic
reactions or other significant side effects. When
the relief begins to fade, you'll return to your
doctor for your next treatment. Usually, BOTOX®
treatment is required approximately 4 times per
year. Because symptoms can change over time, the
amount and duration of relief you'll experience
can vary. Consult your doctor, who can determine
how to achieve the best possible results with
BOTOX®.

Q: What is RESTYLANE?
A: A Natural Beauty lift.
Impressions of beauty change with time - as do
our faces as we age. With RESTYLANE, you can have
a natural beauty lift with the body's own
material. RESTYLANE is a crystal-clear,
non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural
substance, called hyaluronic acid. The gel is
injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very
fine needle. The result is instantaneous and
produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement,
gentle and safe to your skin.
Q: How long does the effect of a RESTYLANE
treatment last?
A: The length of time the effect of a
RESTYLANE treatment lasts is very individual and
depends on many factors, such as the structure of
your skin, lifestyle, age, the degree of
perfection demanded and the injection technique of
the practitioner. Experience indicates that
touch-up and follow-up treatments will add to the
duration. Most people choose to have a new
treatment within a year after the treatment of
wrinkles and folds and within 6 months after a lip
enhancement.
